During a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Donald Trump spoke on the devastation left behind in the Gaza Strip and said the U.S. will take it over. Trump added that it is “something the entire Middle East can be very proud of.” 

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth met with U.S. troops along the Southern border in New Mexico. The deployment of additional troops to the border was part of President Trump’s crackdown on undocumented immigrants. Some businesses closed their doors for the day to demonstrate what working without immigrants would be like. NBC News’ Priscilla Thompson reports.
